All controls are PLC based for ease of operation, which reduce make ready time and improves productivity. News light 40 Compact is widely used for printing newspapers, supplements, textbooks, magazines etc. Short web path ensures excellent print quality and reduce waste. This provides an excellent price performance ratio. News light 40 Compact incorporates high quality gears and precision bearings mounted in high grade stress-relieved cast iron which are machined on top quality CNC machines. This feature together with the short vertical web lead, help ensures stable colour register in all colours.

Cylinders:

BEARERS

All cylinders are mounted with high grade alloy steel bearer rings. Bearers are set with precision pressure setting and ensure no jerk in cylinder contact, life of the press increases manifold with bearer rings.

SLIT TYPE LOCK UP

This is a tool-less plate lock up system which has a single or double registration pin for plate location. It is the most convenient and maintenance free system.

WORM AND WORM WHEEL TYPE BLANKET LOCK UP SYSTEM

This is based on spindle mechanism. Through shaft in the cylinder body allows blanket fitting from one end of the cylinder. Non printing gap is less in this system. This is offered as an option.

Drive System

SHAFTED SYSTEM

Conventional shafted system is the most commonly used drive system. Main through drive shaft for the press is driven by one or more motors. This system has benefits for printers that have relatively uncomplicated production requirements and less plate changes, making it a cost effective choice.

SHAFTLESS SYSTEM

For presses where complex and frequent changes of web path, color and editions are likely to be the norm, shaftless drive provide key benefits by simplifying set-up and control. Shaftless drives also make future press extensions or re-configurations simpler, providing overall and future proofing. Easy synchronization of print units, optimum access throughout the press, faster and easier plate changes, easy clutch/de-clutch are few of the key benefits. This system is offered as an option.

Dampening System

Brushmist Dampening

The contactless Brushmist Dampening System incorporates independently driven variable speed stainless steel dampener fountain rollers. Chrome – plated dampener vibrator rollers, rubber dampener forme rollers along with stainless steel trays with inlet/outlet. This roller train ensures a uniform water film onto the plate mounted on the plate cylinder.

Spray Dampening

Spray Dampening System is provided in place of Brushmist dampening system. It increase efficiency and print quality, reduced start-up waste, and saving in water and ink. Short payback makes the spray dampening system a necessary accessory for news paper presses. The system has patented values allowing a higher spraying cycle frequency, delivery of precise water volumes, and uniform dampening of the plate cylinder.

Inking System

LEVER TYPE INK KEYS

The inking system consists of a swing-down ink fountain which allows easy cleaning. 24 keys/lever across the width of the ink fountain roller control the ink feed. The ink override control mechanism on the ink fountain roller ensures quick distribution of the ink all along the surface of the roller during printing runs and also easy cleaning of the ink fountain.

REMOTE INKING

Prakash offers highly efficient remote inking system for its printing units each system comprise of 24 segments of the ink fountain, individually driven by its own digitally controlled motors. Individual segments are leak free as they move linearly to the ink fountain roller. The ink flow is controlled a by centralized computerized console. State-of the art software and electronics provide unmatched precision, accuracy and speed in controlling and pre-setting ink fountains.

Registration System

MOTORIZED REGISTER SYSTEM

Motorization is provided for running circumference register and side lay register for whole machine along with Motorized compensator on folder for each printing machine. Independent control of each motor is provided on the center control desk for remote operation. Also it becomes integral part of the system in case auto registration control device is provided with the printing unit.

AUTO REGISTRATION SYSTEM

Prakash offers Automatic Registration Control System with a proven technology as an option. It is a close loop system equipped with intelligent camera that continuously monitors and controls any deviation in registration. It comes with an easy to use touch screen user interface. The major advantage of this system is that it leads to huge saving by reducing wastage considerably which takes place during start up the press.
